Comment by Guilherme, a visitor in October 2005: I've visited the main train station and it did feel a bit danger. Nevertheless, there is action going on in the toilet. Be very carefull with your belongings.
There is the underground area in front of the National Palace of Culture. Go down stairs to the fountain. Find the entrance to underground trade center Sofia. And you will see the glass door and stairs down. Recently this spot became very popular for sex adventures. Cruising goes in the cabins. Small entrance fee. Working time from 8 a.m. till 7 p.m.
Comment by Jack who visited in August 2006: Visited the Park one evening at The National Palace of Culture. There are tables outside small kiosk bars and you can always find young guys drinking here. I thought that they would all be after money but I was pleasantly surprised on two separate occaisions when I met a local guy and a very handsome Turkish guy. I think though that you have to have your wits about you as they can be very charming so you need to be careful and sure.
Park Near the School for Priests
A lot of boys are looking for fun around the area of the park near the school for priests at the end of Preswiter Kuzma street, fenced with thick stone walls. Cruising goes on in the area around the Summer Theatre. The best time is before darkness and early evening. Saturdays and Sundays more cruisy than during the week.
Especially in the summer Yavorov alley (at the far end of Borisova Gradina, also called Boris Garden or Central Park, near the TV Tower) is the best place to go for cruising. Men of all ages are walking around. It is a long alley along the Yavorov boulevard starting from a trolley and bus station on Tsarigradsko chaussee. There is a dark park area on the both sides of the street and you can find good sex in the warmer months. The best time is before darkness and early evening.
